The Postfix project is a mail server that provides fast, easy-to-administer, and secure email services. It was created by Wietse Venema as an alternative to Sendmail. Postfix can run on various UNIX-like systems and is also distributed by operating system vendors. Its outside appearance resembles Sendmail, but the inside is different.
