These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "You," or "Your") and DNSai LLC ("Company," "We," "Us," or "Our") governing your use of the Smart Key Vault browser extension ("Extension" or "Software").

BY INSTALLING, ACCESSING, OR USING SMART KEY VAULT, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THIS EXTENSION.

Smart Key Vault is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. This is a lightweight password manager that stores and encrypts passwords locally on your device.

By using this extension, you acknowledge and accept that:

You use this extension entirely at your own risk
DNSai LLC assumes no responsibility for any consequences arising from your use of this extension
Password recovery is completely impossible if you forget your master password or lose access to your data
All responsibility for password security, data protection, backups, and recovery rests solely with you, the user

1. Description of Service

1.1 What Smart Key Vault Is

Smart Key Vault is a lightweight, locally-hosted password manager browser extension that:

Stores passwords in your browser's local extension storage
Encrypts passwords using AES-256-GCM encryption
Derives encryption keys using PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations
Operates entirely offline with no cloud connectivity
Provides basic password management functionality

1.2 What Smart Key Vault Is Not

Smart Key Vault is NOT:

An enterprise-grade password management solution
A replacement for professional security tools
A cloud-synchronized password manager
A secure backup solution
A password recovery service
A guaranteed secure storage system

1.3 Recommendation for Robust Alternatives

For users requiring more comprehensive password management features, we strongly recommend considering more robust alternatives, including:

2. Acceptance of Terms

2.1 Binding Agreement

By installing or using Smart Key Vault, you enter into a binding agreement with DNSai LLC. You represent and warrant that:

You are at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater
You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
You will use this extension in compliance with all applicable laws
You understand the risks associated with local password storage
You accept full responsibility for your use of this extension

2.2 Modifications to Terms

DNSai LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Modifications will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the extension after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. Password Security - User Responsibility

3.1 The Dangers of Insecure Password Practices

Storing passwords in insecure ways poses significant risks:

Plain text storage allows easy access by malware or unauthorized users
Weak passwords can be cracked by brute-force attacks in seconds
Password reuse means one compromised account leads to multiple breaches
Unencrypted storage exposes credentials to anyone with device access
Sharing passwords increases the risk of unauthorized access

3.2 Master Password Responsibility

YOUR MASTER PASSWORD IS THE ONLY KEY TO YOUR ENCRYPTED DATA. You must:

Create a strong, unique master password
NEVER share your master password with anyone - including DNSai LLC
NEVER write your master password in an insecure location
Remember that WE CANNOT RECOVER YOUR MASTER PASSWORD
Understand that forgetting your master password means PERMANENT data loss

3.3 Individual Password Responsibility

For passwords stored within Smart Key Vault:

NEVER share individual passwords unless absolutely necessary
Use unique passwords for each account or service
Regularly update passwords, especially for sensitive accounts
Be cautious when copying passwords to clipboard
Verify websites before entering credentials

4. No Password Recovery - Critical Acknowledgment

BY USING SMART KEY VAULT, YOU EXPLICITLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT THAT:

4.1 Recovery is Impossible

There is NO password recovery mechanism
There is NO "forgot password" feature
There is NO backdoor or master key
There is NO way for DNSai LLC to access your encrypted data
Your master password exists ONLY in your memory

4.2 Lockout Consequences

If you forget your master password or otherwise lose access:

ALL stored passwords will be PERMANENTLY INACCESSIBLE
DNSai LLC CANNOT help you recover your data
No technical support can restore your access
You will need to reset and start over
You will need to manually recover access to all stored accounts

4.3 This is By Design

The inability to recover passwords is a SECURITY FEATURE, not a bug:

It ensures that even we cannot access your data
It protects against company data breaches exposing user passwords
It prevents unauthorized password recovery attempts
It maintains the integrity of local-only encryption

5. Data Loss Risks and Scenarios

YOUR DATA CAN BE PERMANENTLY LOST IN NUMEROUS SCENARIOS. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT ALL OF THE FOLLOWING RISKS:

5.1 Browser-Related Data Loss

Chrome Reset	Resetting Chrome to default settings will DELETE all extension data including your encrypted passwords
Chrome Uninstallation	Uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome may result in complete data loss
Chrome Updates	Browser updates could potentially corrupt or delete extension storage data
Profile Changes	Switching or deleting Chrome profiles will result in loss of extension data for that profile
Sync Conflicts	If Chrome sync is enabled, conflicts could corrupt local extension data

5.2 Extension-Related Data Loss

Scenario	Risk
Extension Removal	Uninstalling Smart Key Vault will DELETE all stored passwords with no recovery option
Extension Updates	Updates to the extension could potentially cause data migration issues or loss
Extension Corruption	Corrupted extension files could render data inaccessible

5.3 Device-Related Data Loss

Scenario	Risk
Device Loss or Theft	Physical loss of your device means loss of your passwords
Hard Drive Failure	Storage device failure can corrupt or destroy all browser data
OS Reinstallation	Reinstalling your OS will delete user data including browser profiles
Device Damage	Physical damage to your device could render data unrecoverable

5.4 Security-Related Data Loss

Malware	Malicious software could delete, encrypt, or corrupt your browser data
Ransomware	Ransomware attacks could lock you out of your data
Unauthorized Access	Someone with device access could delete the extension or reset Chrome

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 No Warranties

SMART KEY VAULT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, including but not limited to:

Implied warranties of merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
Accuracy or reliability
Security or error-free operation

6.2 Limitation of Damages

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DNSai LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

Direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
Damages resulting from:
- Password loss or inability to access accounts
- Data breaches or security incidents
- Unauthorized access to your passwords
- Accidental disclosure or leakage of passwords
- Loss of data due to any scenario described in Section 5
- Any reliance on the extension's functionality
- Interruption or cessation of the extension's operation
- Any other matter relating to the extension

6.3 Maximum Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL DNSai LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES, AND CAUSES OF ACTION EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE EXTENSION (WHICH IS ZERO DOLLARS FOR FREE SOFTWARE).

6.4 Essential Purpose

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE LIMITATIONS SET FORTH IN THIS SECTION ARE ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF THIS AGREEMENT AND THAT DNSai LLC WOULD NOT PROVIDE THE EXTENSION WITHOUT SUCH LIMITATIONS.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DNSai LLC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from:

Your use of Smart Key Vault
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Any claim that your use of the extension caused damage to a third party
Any unauthorized access to accounts resulting from your use of the extension

8. No Obligation to Maintain or Update

8.1 No Maintenance Commitment

DNSai LLC is under NO OBLIGATION to:

Maintain or update Smart Key Vault
Fix bugs or security vulnerabilities
Provide technical support
Respond to user inquiries
Continue offering the extension
Ensure compatibility with future browser versions

8.2 Discontinuation

DNSai LLC may discontinue Smart Key Vault at any time without notice. Upon discontinuation:

The extension may cease to function
No updates or patches will be provided
No migration assistance will be offered
Users are responsible for exporting their data before discontinuation

9. Acceptable Use

9.1 Permitted Use

You may use Smart Key Vault for:

Personal, non-commercial password storage
Storing credentials for your own accounts
Generating secure passwords for personal use

9.2 Prohibited Use

You may NOT use Smart Key Vault to:

Store passwords for accounts you do not own or have authorization to access
Facilitate unauthorized access to any system or account
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Store illegal content or credentials for illegal activities
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the extension
Redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit the extension
Circumvent any security features of the extension

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Ownership

Smart Key Vault and all associated intellectual property rights are owned by DNSai LLC. This includes but is not limited to:

Source code and software
User interface design
Documentation
Trademarks and branding

10.2 License Grant

DNSai LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Smart Key Vault for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

10.3 Restrictions

You may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute the extension
Create derivative works based on the extension
Reverse engineer or decompile the extension
Remove any proprietary notices or labels
Use DNSai LLC's trademarks without permission

11. Privacy

Your use of Smart Key Vault is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review the Privacy Policy for information about how we handle (or rather, do not handle) your data.

Key privacy points:

We collect ZERO user data
All data is stored locally on your device
We cannot access your passwords or master password
No information is transmitted to our servers

12. Termination

12.1 Termination by User

You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling Smart Key Vault from your browser. Note that uninstallation will DELETE all stored data.

12.2 Termination by DNSai LLC

DNSai LLC may terminate your license to use the extension at any time for any reason without notice.

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

Your license to use the extension is revoked
You must cease all use of the extension
Sections regarding limitation of liability, indemnification, and disclaimers shall survive termination

13. Governing Law and Disputes

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Smart Key Vault shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

13.3 Class Action Waiver

YOU AGREE THAT ANY CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN YOUR INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DNSai LLC regarding your use of Smart Key Vault and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
